[Eastside Get The Money]

I follow a lot of hoop pages on IG and Dwight came up and I started scrolling and seen the original painting for the Makaveli album cover.

I’ve never noticed but on the cross it has different cities. Obvious West coast (Oakland, Hollywood, south central, Watts, Compton, Long Beach) then NYC 5 boroughs + E. orange NJ).

Then up top it has Detroit and a Chicago. And Below New Orleans, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas.

There’s also a compass at the top.

Is there any meaning to this or was it ever explained? It could just be a map (hence the compass) but most of the cities mean something to Pac except Chicago, Detroit, and Dallas.

Pac lived in NYC, Cali, and Atlanta. He was set to do a song with Scarface and Master P (New Orleans and Houston) but do the other cities mean anything?

And I have the vinyl, and on the cover the parental advisory sticker covers HOU, Dallas, and Atlanta.

I think it might of been related to One Nation cuz Pac wanted to do songs with various rappers from different regions.

Being in the studio with Tupac, he would speak a lot about feeling like he was being crucified by the media and being blamed for things that he didn’t have any control over. The concept [for the artwork] was all his, with the different cities on the cross showing he was the most hated wherever he would go. His crucifixion was supposed to be a statement about race and what it felt like to be young, rich and black in America. The 7 Day Theory was originally going to be this underground album; Pac predicted the rise of mixtapes and was only going to sell it only at the mom-and-pop stores. It only turned into a commercial album after he died.

Pac used to be in Detroit heavy. Him and Breed was close
