So batman knows he's going to run across magneto in a one on one situation....?
All he is going to do is stall until backup arrives there isn't much else he can do for someone that wont use weapons.

I think it should be considered what level of power magneto has at the time. Consider the fact that electrons are a necessary component for like 99.9999% of all atoms, magneto could theoretically rip batman apart starting from his nerve cells. But knowing bats, he's found a way to block electromagnetism already just in case he runs across someone with magneto powers.
