this is my first attempt at a creating a full track in Ableton (or any DAW). i always messed around with the program... picking it up, trying to learn it, dropping it and trying again a month later but copping a midi controller helped me get over that learning curve.

i figured out how to put everything together and make a complete track yesterday and this is what it sounds like. i would love some constructive criticism.

rough draft of another jawn im workin on.

would of been better of you to state what genre these beats are but i'll go with 90s minimal house/techno

both are good and remind of the 90s

the first one the drums could be a little louder but again i dunno if this was your intention cause its ment to be minimal

but yeah man all good

Drums are a little weak but the idea is pretty dope overal.
Might do some eq-ing on that Pad/Ambient.

finished that second joint i was working on

and when I say "finished" i mean i probably wont add anymore elements to it but i still need to do some mixing and mastering

any adjustments you think should be made?

It's dope but i think the sounds you used are a little bit "dry" which make it sound kinda late 80's. (which you maybe did on purpose)
Maybe try adding a chorus on that main Lead melody.

yea i was trying to make it sound like one of those late 80's chicago acid house tracks. that's one of my favorite subgenres of house music so i always wondered if i could pull one of those tracks off..i think i did pretty aight:ehh:

imma add a chorus or another vocal sample over the main lead melody and see how that sounds

watching some tutorials right now :whoo:this changes everything lol...thanks breh
