They don't have to. People buy it anyway...either because they have no choice and need a football game in their life, or they're fanboys who'll support the Madden franchise till they die

Either way, EA will make their $$$ regardless of how good/bad the game is

Right these internet nikkas over rate the fukk out of 2k5. i had that game it was cool, the presentation was WAAAYYYYY better than madden is now. HOWEVER it did NOT have better gameplay, specifically the passing game was not as good. Now maybe it would have eventually became the better game but we will never know because THE NFL wanted an exclusive license, and EA had more money ( i wonder how).. Now I'm saying this as a guy who loves nba2k and thinks live is trash and EA is on some bullshyt with all these micro transactions and unlock codes to play online......... GET the fukk over 2k5 forever B.....
