Gene Chizik by far. Mack brown actually had success before Texas.

Chizik because Mack Brown is an elite recruiter. Chizik is a very good recruiter.

but Texas should be 11-1 or undefeated every year with the recruits they got and 80% of the big 12 being trash

CHIZIK. What the outsiders don't know is that Chizik didn't even won't CAM. The RB coach went to BLINN to offer another player a scholarship but when he saw CAM he had the face and went back to CHIZIK to convince him to offer the available scholarship to CAM as opposed to some DT that CHIZIK wanted.


CHIZIK refused. Stated that we were solid at QB...

So the RB coach, knowing talent when he sees it, went to the famous OC(Gus Malzahn) and convinced him to come to BLINN to see CAM.

GUS saw CAM and was like

I have seen greatness before yet this is (per GUS MALZAHN)

MALZAHN had to borderline give CHIZIK an ultimatum to get him on the squad. Quiet as kept, GUS MALZAHN did an excellent job of coaching CAM up for his superman season too.

If a head coach is so stubborn he turns down greatness in his face just to adhere to his unproven philosophy does not deserve to coach in the SEC.

Personally I was hoping we would get Charlie Strong. Maybe we still will

When the Big 12 is normal...there's at least 5-6 good teams every year.
