I was talking about post 2000 classics and this one album I almost forgot about it until I was organizing my collection.

Lyrics Born is an Asian rapper ( I think he's the best Asian rapper ever). Dude has been in the game for almost 20 years, and few if anyone mentions him. Ironically enough I met the dude in '95 when I was working for MTV and I had an assignment on the West Coast, he was rapping at UC Berkley party, and I thought he was pretty dope, but I didn't pay him much mind. But anyway, I heard Later that Day and Same shyt Different Day and I was hooked. This album would've gotten a lot more shine in the mid 90's than it did now, but anyway here's some tracks to wet that appetite.

Yea, him, Lateef, Blackalicious and Jurassic 5 were/are all affiliated, it's just a shame that guys like this don't get more appreciation on the coli.

ehh in a sense but not really. lyrics born always switched his flows/deliveries up. some i liked, some i didnt. same with his beat choices. some weren't up my alley. but lyrically he always came correct (i guess in that sense hes like canibus)

Yea, but the dude is more experimental, imo. He switches up styles and it's hit or miss but I think he hits way more than he misses.

Good live performer, i remember seeing him on a blackalicious tour a good 10 years ago. Didnt know he was asian, dont really care tho a dope emcee is a dope emcee. never copped any of his albums.
