Not at all. If you're talking "DROGAS Light" that wasn't really an album....most of that stuff was unreleased tracks.
The last album of completely new material he released was "T&Y" and that was lyrically dense and abstract as fukk. Especially compared to his early music. This is the same guy that came in the game with "Kick, Push"....tried to cross over with "Lasers"....did music for the "Twilight" soundtrack....when all that didn't work out he did a complete 180 with "T&Y", started talking about he don't care about "making music, just bars" and praising people like Aesop Rock.

. even including TY, lupe hasn't been nearly abstract as he was when he started. F&L2, lasers, drogas light etc are all straight foward albums. 1 out of his last 4 albums have been what you would call abstract.
The fact that they have to resort to dapping something so ridiculous just shows how much kendrick makes them feel some type of way42 members dapped this?

Yes, those are straight forward albums....they're also old material.
Again....the last album he came out with, that had 100% new material....was "T&Y". To say "well, it's 1 out of 4" is to ignore the fact that the 4th is his newest material.
Even conceding that point, he's now talking about Aesop Rock is the best out.
Even ignoring that, he's point blank said his main focus now is bars, not music.
So yeah....you'd have to ignore damn near everything around the current state of his career to make your point.
