i think lupe made the major mistake of only considering the name drop part of control when he made those tweets, which is what most people focus on anyway and the most basic part. aside from the name drop part, i think the rest of the control verse had the wordplay and punchlines lupe was crying about.

Fluff in comparison to it's 'impact'.

He wasn't really saying shyt, the shock and awe came from a new era rapper actually looking to compete. Drake was butt-hurt and started sending subs just off of that. But he wasn't really going that hard in that verse.

again...the whole song was about "control" who is controlling rap..its essentially a brag song so im not sure what you expected him to go deep into... but he was on topic and creative with it....if he didnt say shyt then neither did sean or jay
