I am a person that hasn't read a full book (not even comic book) for nearly 8 years. I heard the Kindle Paperwhite joint is better for my eyes than a Kindle Fire. I really just want the device for reading, not tryna have it as a tablet or something.

Is the Kindle better than the Nook, or similar e-readers?

I've never used a Nook but I do have a previous model Kindle. I like it and the Kindle is usually the number one e-reader when tested against other e-readers, so you can't go wrong with it.

The issue I have is that it doesn't really support all the formats though PDF, MOBI, EPUB., and that will mess me up in the long run since I already have a collection spanning these 3 formats.

I know I can convert from one format to another but I heard that the transition is not perfect.

Anybody using KOReader? Thought it was some janky knock-off app but the reading stats are unrivalved. Makes me want to move all my books away from the Kindle app and start copping non-DRM books. Getting my eReader back from the manufacturer after breaking the screen and looking forward to knocking some more books out using it.
