He was part of an ownership group that was supposed to get the Charlotte franchise before Bob Johnson came through and crushed the buildings. Bird was even living in the Charlotte area drumming up support, and actually had folks excited about the prospect of the NBA returning. I think the Bobcats (they wouldn't have been called that if Bird's group had gotten them) would have been run better if Bird and his people would have gotten them.

This is so true. I heard dude give mad interviews, he just speak that uncut real without any filters or agenda.

I remember that Magic/Bird Doc on HBO. When they asked dude about his feelings about his dad commiting that when he was kid.

Bird: Man did what he felt he had to do.:dwillhuh:
