The writing in the 1st 2 seasons of GI Joe was lightyears ahead of anything in Transformers,TMNT or any other cartoon.This wasn't just some bullshyt to keep your kids busy while you get work done.You really got into these episodes like they were a movie.They treated us kids like we were adults.Even had a few mini series with different parts.Had you fiendin for tomorrows episode.

The 2-part episode where Shipwreck was hallucinating had me like back in the day.

The diversity was what was so awesome about GI Joe.

Not even just the races, but there were so many characters other than the main ones and everyone's outfits looked different, like each cat had a different style to them. Though that was very dope.

If the Dinobots were able to form together though, I think they'd have the GOAT character as a youngster and I may have put the Transformers over because I would've been geeked out of my mind.

I have to go with GI Joe. Watching that shyt as a adult got me tripping sometimes because of the themes and some of the shyt that goes down. Lol at watching all that terrorist shyt as a kid

gi joe, had more reoccurring new episodes daily than any other cartoon.

originally, gi joe was the best after school cartoon of all time, till transformers.
even then,...transformers did not get consistently better than the joes till around jetfire and the skybots debuted.
leading up to the movie,...
which killed everything.
yet, and still before all that.
gi joe, still has the best black main character of our gen in roadblock.
plus, roadblock blind carrying cobra commander.
is still the best hof,...badguy buddies up to the babyface for a common cause moment in our gen or possibly ever.

gi joe,..was the first cartoon that made you care about a blackman.
plus know he was the toughest sumbytch in cartoon existence.

past that,...

flint and the original halle berry before we knew who halle bery was, lady jay.
those were my all time favorite characters, right behind rick hunter.

i am still crazy about flint and lady jay.
i wish halle berry could play lady jay in the movie.

As a kid Voltron was my all time favorite. I had the diecast Voltron

Straight piff!! Behind Voltron GI Joe was a close second. These two was my nikkas mane.

Tomaz and Xamot never got enough screen time if you ask me.
