I might be biased because I'm originally from Arizona, but I'm going to side with the west on this one.

The way I look at it 2pac shytted on a lot of rappers and they did nothing. You had snoop filming videos over there and kicking down project buildings. Wives were being nutted on behind their husbands backs. Even Nas was brought to tears and copping pleas when deathrow had that meeting with him and pac when they squashed it.

Outside a few people like nore and mobb deep, for the most part NYC got dissed and did nothing. Its unfortunate we lost 2 legends when it should of stayed on wax. Does anyone feel the same or am I wrong here?

There never was a East Coast vs.West Coast War. Stop falling for the bullshyt. Most "East Coast" and "West Coast" rappers were getting along fine during that time period. It was a beef between Bad Boy and Deathrow that was started by Suge Knight and exacerbated by West Coast gang members and crooked cops.

It's obvious that far and away the South won. East and west both lost a GOAT mc and the South rose to prominence soon after and haven't given the title back since.

God damn shame too :noah:

East Coast easily, the West fell off when Pac died and the East had nice run even after Biggie died.

Bad Boy had a nice run, the come up of Jay Z, DMX, Ja Rule, The LOX, etc.

Also West Coast rappers always took some of sort of L when they came to NYC, Biggie getting Dogg Pound trailer shot up, Nas pressing Pac in Bryant Park, etc.

While East Coast rappers was :dj2: whenever they went to the West, Mobb Deep even performed LA, LA in a concert out in LA, Common even though he from the Chi performed his Ice Cube diss in LA in concert, etc.

No one wins when you lose people who made the caliber of music Tupac and Biggie did.

EDIT: "Nas pressing Pac in Bryant Park"

 Both the Outlaws and Snoop say otherwise.

Umm, you do know what happened to Biggie when he went to the West coast right?
