This is not about who won or who loss. If you didnt know what the outcome was going to be and you went back to that time. Was it something Ross needed to do? I feel like he needed to do it to get to the next level. He wanted to gain respect from everyone including the media so he said "let me go at one of the biggest in the game"

nahhh Ross dissed him on that Mafia Music shyt.

As for the question I really don't know. I always thought 50 won the beef and he was already on the decline so to some people it looks like Ross killed him.

i think he gained a little respect from it but nothing career defining. curly took a huge loss.
basically..

ross kept it rap and dodged all that baby mama bullshyt 50 did and took the streets over 50 lost...nikkas thought Ross career was over even had Game saying Ross needed his help :smh: but Ross just kept dropping good music while 50 :pachaha:

IMO it was a calculated move to divert from the C.O. shyt...50 was hated by that point and going at 50 was a way to get the hip hop community to root for him, instead of piling on and focusing solely on him getting caught lying bout being a co....and it worked beautifully and pretty much started his current run...had people rooting for him to slay the villian and he paired it up with the best music of his career up to that point...one of rap's great chess moves

Shows you how overrated rap beefs are. It looks like Ross won because of how their careers changed after, but 50 was crap before the beef and Ross was on the rise. Didn't make or break either of them.

There was no way on earth 50 was gonna win that. Hip hop's villain was trying to end another career, and EVERYONE in the industry was supporting Ross to go through it. Especially during a period of time when "real" was on the outer.

That was a good gamble by Ross. He didn't win that beef either, he just didn't lose it. And that was the best result possible for him.

I was kind of disappointed in the way 50 handled that beef. You know that the dude your going against is NOT who he proclaims to be, is an ex CO masquerading as a drug kingpin, he's fat, slobby looking and woefully overweight, and somehow with ALL of that material ripe for a scathing diss record you decide to go the "baby Momma exposal" route? All rappers should've recognized the danger of going that route after Nas destroyed Jay-Z and made him look like some weirdo, obsessed stalker, who would resort to using women and a child in a desperate move to score points in a battle.

Taking a broad shopping, doing magazine layouts with her, and letting her talk like a scorned chicken head against her child's father doesn't net you points in a battle, Rick Ross laughed that shyt off for the most part, was hardly publically scathed by it. Bad chess move on 50's part

that 50 and rick ross thing kinda proved that as long as you consistently come with it in terms of good music then you can pretty much survive anything. rick ross is a testament to that, lil wayne kissing men and wearing girl clothes is a testament to that, Drake being a 100% muthaf*cking nerd is a testament to that, etc... just come with the music, your fukkery will be ignored if the songs is hot.
