Sorry if this video has been posted before, I'm a fukking nerd that almost never leaves The Film Room and Arcadium anymore.

I'm a pretty big fan of Game. Love his discography, he's incredibly consistent, I actually enjoy the name dropping he does that most people find grating (it's nostalgic). As a kid in high school, I loved the whole fight between them and absolutely sided with Game (300 bars is still wild). But in retrospect, it's clear dude is just extremely emotional and childish.

50's case is pretty strong:

1. He sacrificed so much fantastic work that could have gone onto The Massacre but was instead put on The Documentary. Let's be honest, almost all of the best songs on the album had 50 on it.

2. He kept launching random fights with other rappers, while simultaneously distancing himself from 50's myriad of beefs.

3. Someone got killed over what feels like a stupid publicity stunt, which is why 50 just can't bury it. It's additionally one of the major reasons Game was not part of the Super Bowl halftime show in 2022.

Wasn't this always the consensus though?

What's really crazy is the game always planned on starting a beef with 50 to sell records. According to Jim Jones at least
It wasn't when I was a kid. If you wanna go way back to the SOHH days, there wasn't consensus on here.

One of the strangest cats in Hip Hop. Had the talent to be one of the greatest rappers ever if he wasn't mentally ill.

If he was telling the truth about his father almost raping his sister then maybe it's a result of some childhood scars and unpacked trauma.

I was just looking at this and yayo was a menace in the streets back then getting some of his people killed

Yayo was wiiiild for that

OP, I agree I feel like the G Unot times were pre internet era so there wasn’t a great understanding of the beef and inter scope completely cashed in and snaked 50 with that

Above the fray.
At the time, and today I feel that Game was right.

Dr Dre would have kept him on the shelf, if he didn't decide to attach him to the 50/G-Unit momentum so he owes Dre. Not necessarily 50 Cent.

Interscope didn't jerk 50 so he got the full payment/credit for his work with Game. And it expanded 50's reach by having a hot rapper from another region of the country under his banner.

Banks and Yayo were with 50 before he blew up and signed on for any of the problems that others had with him. Streets or industry.

Game didn't come up under 50, and signing on to 50's feuds with other rappers would limit his career. Smart to distance himself from all that dumb shyt early.

Game went further not beefing with Fat Joe, Kiss & Nas and made songs with them afterwards along with others like Wu-Tang. The G-Unit train slowed down afterwards. I think he made the right decision. If he didn’t leave I’m sure their run would’ve lasted a little longer. They needed him more than he needed the group.

Game’s G-Unot campaign hurt the G-Unit brand

you got a character that was co-signed and launched by the brand, selling 5 million albums and then using his platform to deride the brand that launched him

its the enemy within that does the most damage. Man‘s work hurt universal stock investors when you consider the eradication of a brand’s value

nobody wanted a G-Unit sneaker after that

G-Unit’s fans were 12 to 14 years old. When they grew most would readily realize Game’s dysfunction

Dre, I owe you … now I shall destroy a brand that is set to add tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions - to your pocket

this is like me sending you to pick up an eighth from my guy and you piss on his doorstep and then say that doesn’t effect me :heh:

or rather, you have no car or way of getting where you wanna go … so I send you to a friend of mine who will give you a car and you spit in his face and call me to say thank you. I’m not picking up the phone for you at that point

Like the other breh said, Game essentially kick started the downfall of Dre's biggest artist at the time. It's actually insane that game doesn't understand why Dre doesn't fukk with him, he acts like he did nothing wrong.

shyt would be like 50, for no real reason, trying to destroy Eminem after GRODT dropped, then expecting any type of relationship with Dre afterwards.

Not sure what this has to do with the thread title and 50 and Game.

I don't think he was disloyal. Wanting Game to get in all of his beefs only to make up with the guys he was beefing with years later is silly. Jay Z would do the same thing. All of these guys like cam, Beanie, Freeway have stated that they went at Nas and others for Jay. Now Jay is cool with Nas and Jaz while I don't know his relationship with Beans, Cam and others from that rocafella crew. Same with 50. It's obvious he's not on the best terms with Banks, Buck and game, but he doesn't have a problem with Jada, Fat Joe, and Nas now. Game said he wasn't going to beef with Nas

Shows that game was disloyal and ungrateful, even if you think he owed Dre and not 50. Dre signed him and 50 gave him a bunch of hits to kick start his career, and game hurt their pockets in return. According to Jim Jones, that was always the game's intent when he started working with 50.

Disloyal and ungrateful.
