Joseph: Texans still better than Patriots | CSN Houston

They were outscored 83-42 and it wasn’t that close.

But Pro Bowl cornerback Johnathan Joseph still thinks the Texans are the better team.

“Obviously we had the right guys in here to win 13 ballgames to get up to that point,” Joseph said on Monday, the day the Texans cleaned out their lockers. “For whatever reason, we didn’t advance. I still can’t put that over because I think we were a better team. I think we just didn’t make the plays at the right time.”

Ahh, the delusion. The current Texans remind me a WHOLE lot of the Chargers from a few years ago.

Smug RB, Wade Philips Defense....talent, never wins the big game. Only difference is at least Rivers had some fire in his belly.

Screwston (Houston),Texas..KCFWH!
are they a better team..of course not

but what did you expect him to say "nah we cant fukk with em"

professional athletes are the most competitive so im not surprised he said that

but your right Wades defense never won big games along with a very mediocre qb in Schuab

like i said many times Kubiak should have been gone 3 years ago

Hmm, I'd like to hear the entire interview, cuz it almost seems like he's saying they're a better team than last years Texans...i.e. saying they've showed progress despite another exit in the same round; defending this year's results.

Cuz later in that article he talks about the gap between them and the Patriots not being "that big"....why would he be talking about the Texans being on the short side of that gap if they're the better team?

what did you expect him to say?

Perhaps something along the lines of "they're the better team, we need to use this as a learning experience to ensure we make the most of our opportunities in the future" etc?

Because what he did say makes him look a) delusional or b) dishonest. Either one is not a good look, and it's downright insulting to their fans, or really anyone who watched the game.

the bolded exactly.......it's nothing wrong with being competitive but at the same it's alright to understand when a team is better than you at that moment...you have played these guys twice and in both games at some point you were down 25+ points...

The writer trying to start shyt.

Its obvious Joseph saying the Texans are better than their performance on Sunday. He wasn't dissing the Pats at all.
