Jurors gotta know they'd be setting a prescedant to let this man off.

I would make it personal if i were the lawyer.

Ladies and gentleman of the jury with your decision will decide in the state of Florida that if you are walking down the street and someone thinks you're committing a crime, without the blessings of law enforcement, he can engage you in a physical confrontation and kill you, legally, because he thought you were doing something wrong. Who is law enforcement here? A man with a criminal history of domestic violence or our local law enforcement?

Basically, it was always about that, but along the way it got sensationalized. You simply can't confront someone knowing you got a gun on you, that's real bogus.

What's makes this worse, its obvious Zimmerman is slow and an underachiever, so no one is really doing this guy any favors. He should have did his 2 to 5, and move on with his life.

:patrice: 2-5 though for murder? My vision of the situation is zimmerman struggling to get Treyvon under control, having him straddled, while being extremely winded from trying to fight him. Young Treyvon probably bucking like a bronco bull and thought in George's mind being *OMG IM fukkING EXHAUSTED AND IF THIS KID FLIPS ME OVER IM GOING TO GET ANNIHILATED* So he made a decision and shot the kid to avoid what could happen if the boy got the upperhand. He bit off more than he could chew and thought the gun alone would be enough to get the situation under control but it wasnt and he ended up killing an innocent kid. White people trying to bring up Treyvons history as a bad kid is like them saying *well yea who cares if hes innocent, he was obviously doing bad things so he deserved to get shot* Its sickening. 2-5 though, ehhhhhhhhh. :patrice:

They should sue the police department and his judge father for trying to cover shyt up. Give the cops a deal to roll over on the judge and get him up outta there.

You need everyone to vote guilty, otherwise he walks.

you dumb idiot, you should be stepped on and stomped like an ant

Clearly the juror has an identity crisis. The posters are saying its going to be an impartial biased jury because they are mostly white, and there are no blacks on the jury.

Well, what about the black/hispanic! Would she go for Trayvon or George!

after watching this vid I think theres a good chance he might get off also

Zimmerman was obviously a fakkot who called the cops like 80 times in one year (that alone makes me hate him, what logic86 ass fakkot would do such a thing?) but Trayvon did lay the smack down on that b1tch ass n1gga for following him (which is what anyone would do if they're being followed by a stranger and they feel like their life is threatened, Zimmerman coulda been a serial killer for all he knew)

The back of zimmermans clothes were wet which suggest he was on the ground getting his ass whooped and Trayvon literally has no injuries besides the gunshot wound.

But being young and black alone is unfortunately enough for people to get suspicious of you. That's just the way it is. If he's found not guilty the judge and jury are basically admitting this.

With all that said, I personally don't think Zimmerman is a cold blooded murderer, but he is indeed a fakkot who caused the death of a young man due to his b1tchassness.

Life can be a b1tch sometimes

Live video: Jury selection continues in George Zimmerman trial - Video on NBCNews.com

Race and guns will probably take center stage Thursday as the defense in the murder trial of George Zimmerman gets a chance to continue questioning potential jurors in the highly charged case.

The trial of Zimmerman, charged with second-degree murder in the shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, moved into a new phase Wednesday as lawyers began questioning a smaller pool of potential jurors, asking about attitudes and concentrating on race and gun issues.

Lawyers began on June 10 by winnowing the jury pool down from more than 100 to a group of 40, seemingly large enough to supply the six jurors and four alternates.

The six jurors will decide the fate of Zimmerman, 29, who fatally shot Martin on the rainy night of Feb. 26, 2012, in Sanford, Fla.

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer at the time, apologized for shooting Martin, but insisted he acted in self-defense.

Judge Debra S. Nelson formally read the charge against Zimmerman as his parents made their first appearance in the courtroom Wednesday. Also in court were Martin’s parents.

"The object is to obtain a jury who will impartially try this case based on the evidence presented in the courtroom," Nelson told the jurors.

Twenty-seven of the 40 potential jurors are white, seven are black, three are mixed race and three are Latino, according to the Associated Press.

The prosecution says Zimmerman, who identifies himself as Latino, focused on Martin because of the teenager’s race. Martin, 17, who was black, was returning from a convenience store and was carrying candy and iced tea when he and Zimmerman had their confrontation.

In the first round of questioning, the prosecution and defense were limited to asking mainly about the effects of the media and possible pretrial publicity in the case that prompted demonstrations across the country. In the current round, the questioning will be significantly broader as the lawyers investigate attitudes.

“Does anyone think race should matter,” prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda asked the group Wednesday, after noting that the charges involve the shooting of an African American.

“No,” chorused the group, whose names and images are being shielded from the audience viewing the proceedings broadcast on the Web.

De la Rionda noted that Martin was a minor. “Does anyone think his life mattered less” because of his age, the prosecutor asked.

Again the group chorused back: “No.”

“The 2nd Amendment,” the prosecutor also asked, referring to the constitutional right to bear arms. “Does anyone have an issue with that?”

Again the group said no.

In questioning, several of the jurors indicated that they owned weapons, including pistols and long guns, and used them for hunting or sport.

The selected jurors will be sequestered for the trial, Judge Nelson said again Wednesday. The trial will run two to four weeks, she said.
