Decent card. Not PPV quality but some intriguing fights. Here my quick picks

Martin UD
Burns TKO RD1
Fili TKO RD2
Reis UD
Cabral Sub RD2
Magny UD

Main Card

Ferreria UD
Elkins UD

Hans Stringer vs Fabio Maldanado
Should be a fun fight. Maldanado chargers forward head down and throws. Stringer didn't look good in his debut, but if he can land some combos on Fabio then he has a chance. But despite getting smashed by Stipe, Maldanado has a strong chin and can take punishment. Fabio by UD

Glover Texeria vs Phil Davis
Davis is talented and athletic. Solid wrestler with great grappling/submissions. But hes stand up and power is still non existent. Its been almost 4 years and it still looks slow and rudimentary outside of kicks. Hes been able to get by against lower competition. But against top 5 guys his lack of stong stand up has made his wrestling and TDD very predictable. Glover is a solid boxer with good wrestling/BJJ. His sprawl and TDD is very good. I expect this to go the same way as the rumble fight where Davis shoots from distance, gets stuffed, gets tagged, lose confidence, and fold. Texeria by UD

Chad Mendes vs Jose Aldo

Should be a great fight and I could see victory for either man. Mendes stand up has improved tremendously since the last fight. Hes a good, fluid boxer in addition to being a strong wrestler. His footwork and speed is wordclass. But hes going against Aldo, whos striking, defense, footwork, are all better. Mendes can win if he pressures the fukk out of Aldo and throws combos in 4-5's instead of 1-2. Plus Aldo fades in later rounds so the opportunity to still the championship rounds is there. But Mendes himself is a question mark in later rounds cardio wise. Plus Mendes has never shown to throw punches in bunces like what Weidman did against Silva. He will be winging that overhand power right and Aldo will counter. Plus, Medes has that boxer stand with the lead leg stuck out there ripe for leg kicks. Aldo also has the height/range and will use it effectively. One thing i want to mention is a lot of ppl think Aldo has plateau as a fighter and that hes beatable. Nothing in the octagon has demonstrated that. Hes mainly coasted because I honestly don't believe that hes motivated now. But we saw Aldo step up against Mendes. We saw him throttle Edgar, whose just as quick as Mendes and has better striking/wrestling transitions. I think the dislike for Mendes and wanting revenge for Barao will light a fire under Aldo. Aldo TKO RD3

So how does everyone see the main event going?

This is a very intriguing match-up. Although, I see Aldo taking it, Mendes has the tools to pull off the upset. For Mendes, he needs to constantly mix it up (TDs, strikes, clinch work, etc) and he needs to take the fight to Aldo (constant pressure). Keep Aldo guessing and on his toes. Mendes cannot make this a striking match, because he will definitely lose. Like the GOD II said, Mendes' best bet is to pour it on late in the fight [where Aldo has shown to gas].

The more I think about it tho, the more I see Aldo winning it. Aldo has morphed so good from that wild, blitzkrieg Muy Thai striker into a technical, skilled fighter with solid boxing. Thats the key. Thats the difference between him and Barao. And lets be honest, Chad has looked so good striking against average to awful strikers in Elkins, Guida, Lentz, etc. Hes still a boxer who doesn't throw any kicks or strikes from the clinch. I think Aldo takes it easily unless hes gasses horribly

I'm going with Money Mendes for the late TKO in the 5th round after Aldo gasses out.
