Liv is not the main eventer much as it’s being pushed 
Liv is a work in progress because of how stop/start they are with her prior. She doesn't have a consistent character base on her own yet.
On the segment, I liked it, the only nitpick I got is the camerawork which is minor as hell. The story makes sense.
