Off bat i'm what would be considered an old head.

Now I was amped for that Future because I have Pluto, but I was more amped for that Nas. Especially after reading shyt on here.

So the intro to LIG is just VICIOUS!!!

Every other song is just....ok to be honest. I like "Daughters" and that Super Cat sampled song the most after the intro.

Nas' flow seemed strange to me. There weren't any variations.

So I like the album, and it gave me that hip hop feel...

Oh wifey with the exception of I think "Daughters" told me I need to take that shyt out before she falls a sleep. Which I thought was funny, because it sounds like something someone here would say about snoozefest or some shyt and she's never been on these rap forums.



I put in that Future and the energy is just bigger and different. I jammed through the entire album!! There were a couple songs I just had to repeat like 3-4 times.

I didn't know this dude was this good. I know he's a DF affiliate, but this dude right now is KILLING the game!!

So I just don't know what to say. With the battles that take place on rap forums between new skool and old skool and how we telling them they don't get it, and they're telling us our music is boring. I see it from their side for this brief moment.

yeah, with LIG, i was sayin the same thing after like a month.. not that it's boring, but it's directionless. people say it's "personal" and sh!t but i don't see it.. there's a couple "personal" joints but for the most part its just random songs put together to formulate an album... i'm failing to see what's so special.. it's dope as f*ck, but not one of them "special" joints, not to me at least.

I'm gonna ask you too though your sense of being "right" won't allow it....

Put aside all the years we built in us that Nas, Biggie, Jigga, etc are just automatically better than any of these new cats.

Just listen to the two albums without bias ears and tell me Future doesn't blow Nas away with energy, different flows, sonic, and dayum near everything else. The only thing Nas has on him (just comparing these two albums nikkas) is a more mature subject matter and more poetic.

And i'm as boom bap as they come...
