The Unofficial WWE Championship - Google Drive

According to this list

Junkyard Dogg
Roddy Piper
Paul Orndoff
Terry Funk
Jesse Ventura
Kamala
Big Boss Man
Bam Bam Bigelow
Tito Santana
Rick Martel
Jim Duggan
Ted Dibiase
Hercules
Godfather
X Pac
Road Dogg
Billy Gunn
British Bulldog

and others who aren’t recognized as former world champs actually won the title on house shows not recognized by WWE :ohhh:

Apparently Savage had like 4 world title wins before WM4, his first one a pin over Hogan. :ohhh:

And Hogan is apparently a 30 time former WWF champ if u count all the unrecognized title changes.

Owen Hart actually won the title in 94 too

The fukk you mean.. so they would give the WWF CHAMPIONSHIP to random nikkas on house shows then the next night on TV the former champ would just walk out like it never happened. That's whack af :mjlol:

The world before camera phones huh :russ:

Edit: Billy Gunn? Crash Holly?? Dean Malenko?! Gtfoh this can't be real :hhh::mjlol:

I think it wouldve added more variety if some of those 80s guys actually were recognized as champions even if it were for a month

Breh you’ve totally misunderstood this document

it basically means if every non-title match counted as a title match then the title switched hands, then the next person to pin that dude is the champ, and so on and so on

Ain’t no way nikkas like Maven and Aguila are winning the World title on a house show, come on :dead:

Where did you get that info? :dwillhuh:

NWA used to do the same shyt, that’s why Flair is really a 21-23 time world champ but only 16 is recognized :unimpressed:

biggest regret as a lapsed wrestling fan is never having gone to house a show
by all accounts the wrestlers get to let loose, have fun and there is the room for sheenigans
I went to a couple house shows back in the day. They had the weirdest matches. I feel like I saw Stone Cold and Kane as a tag team at one.

reading the document and the info it’s pretty obvious, it’s done the same way as the Unofficial World Cup for football/soccer

that doc says Taka Michinoku won the world title at Mania 14, because he beat Aguila at that event who was the unofficial world champion at the time

then whoever next beat Taka would be the new world champ, and on it goes

IDK about modern day house shows (pre-covid of course), but previous eras house shows were great. The last house show I went to had Bret vs Taker as the main event, and Nation of Domination vs LOD and I think Ahmed and Shamrock

You have no proof of this :unimpressed:

Most of these were in the 80s when this was common across all federations

Rockers beat Hart Foundation for the tag titles and it’s not recognized by WWE
