Bradley Cooper Producing Limitless TV Series

CBS and Orci & Kurtzman are making a pilot for a TV series based on Limitless, with star Bradley Cooper attached as producer.

3 NOV 2014 BY ANTHONY COUTO

CBS is committing to a pilot for a Limitless TV series -- based on the 2011 film -- with Bradley Cooper (Guardians of the Galaxy), Roberto Orci (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Todd Phillips(The Hangover) attached as producers.

Deadline reports the Limitless pilot is coming from writer/executive producer Craig Sweeney (The 4400), and is set to continue from "where the movie left off." The 2011 film's director -- Neil Burger (The Illusionist) -- has reportedly been tapped to direct the pilot, while producers Leslie Dixon & Scott Kroopf will also work on the project.

Though the pilot is based on the 2011 movie, Limitless originally was written as a book by Alan Glynn. The story follows Brian Sinclair (played by Cooper in the film), "as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT, and is coerced into using his newfound drug enhanced abilities for good."

The Limitless television project is the first venture from Copper & Phillips' newly formed production company, Yet To Be Named Company. Their first feature film -- American Sniper -- which also stars Cooper, is slated for a release this Christmas.

I don't really see how they can keep it interesting. Even if they pull off the first season....doesn't seem to have staying power.

I'm gonna be the nikka to go against the grain and say...

A Limitless adaptation would be more conducive to TV than a Wolf of Wall Street one, for its procedural possibilities.

If it's were to reach anything like Person of Interest, it'll be a good show.

Don't let critics and marketing fool you into thinking cable > network off GP. Are y'all watching Homeland this season?
