Its Week 1 and the Carolina Panthers open the season as host to the defending NFC Champions. The Panthers hope to begin the season with an early upset and hope to do it behind hitting quarterback Jarred Goff early and often. Hopefully, the effect of this tactic is to limit the opportunities Goff will have to utilize his weapons on Offense.
The Panther's Defense will start the season being led by veterans Kuechly, Short and Reid.
Meanwhile Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is eager for another shot to limit and attack Carolina's dynamic QB Cam Newton. Newton also has some interesting weapons on Offense entering the season and hope to make things stressful for the Rams defense. The big question is can Cam stay upright throughout the entire game.
