How is there for a breh to thrive economically and financially? What are the employment rates looking like?
Is it safe? Interesting? Any :mjpls: antics that are common there? (not that stuff like this should stop me from travelling, I'm just wondering).

For context, I'm thinking of moving there from the UK potentially on a work visa which I've been in contact with an agent about.
I haven't fully started the process yet as I'm doing research about the country and gathering ideas.

Both places seem equally useless, so it would be more of a lateral move, geographically, financially, socially, literally and figuratively

*edit* rural, small town/city Canada has some consolation in regards to affordability and stress, but that's about it

One city i would maybe add to the list is Ottawa. I hear it's kinda boring but you will see people of color at least
More people of color in Mtl and Toronto
Plus it’s expensive here
Govt town..if you don’t work for the govt or city
You will struggle

Best place to live right now is Montreal/calgrary

I dont get the appeal of Alberta esp for a black man.
Its not that cheap anymore and culturally it SUCKS compared to MTL/TOR.

I went out there a few years ago (Edmonton) theres nothing to do out there.

Also, Montreal might be a little tough/annoying if you don't speak french so keep that in mind as well. I know people who don't speak french and while they do get by, i can tell it's a hassle for them sometimes
