You had to know once online gaming became available the Arcade was dead just like the drive-in movie model.
Why would anyone want to go to an arcade when with a good connectionyou have access to good competetion from the comfort of your home?
Add in the ability play for free and if you a drinker /smoker getting blazed while playing adds even more fun
I have great Arcade memories (Mostly Good, got caught slipping a couple of times in brownsville and got robbed
) but NOTHING is better than doing it from the comfort of your own home.
The Movie Industry is going to get theirs real soon too going to the Movie theather will be a thing of the past as well no more 15 dollar popcorn

Actually fighting against someone that is next to you and drawing a crowd is on of the aspects I miss the most. I even made new friends thanks to Tekken 5 at the arcade. Tekken 5 brought in MAD people in my area and we would have tournaments in the arcade

I have made great friends at the arcade over the years and now they are my friends online
I know nothing can ever match the head to head next to each other competition but as our internet gets better that wont be a problem much longer

Idk, I would much rather go to an arcade in this day and age. We're are slowly moving away from social interaction and we do have arcades things will be awkward because people are just used to sitting at home in their comfort zones

No sir you have me confused with someone else cause I ain't got nobody to play against offline all my homeys play 2k and madden so all my fighting game competition is online.
Before you go and pull up your 3 saved wins against me in vanilla sf4 on YouTube why don't you tell everyone that it was the only 3 wins against me you lost all the other sets we played until you ran to ps3
But this thread ain't about me and you it's about the American arcade and while I miss it I rather have it the way it is now gaming in boxers with blunts ftw
