King of Puppets defeated :whew:

I'm finally starting to understand the rhythm of this game, it's like a weird Bloodborne/Sekiro hybrid with some jank sprinkled on top. I'm fukking with it tho :ehh:

Nice work!

One thing I’d recommend is to hit enemies a few times while they’re stunned before going for those fatal hit attacks. They stay down longer than you’d think (and you can make them stay down even longer with p organ upgrades).

I gave in and used a specter to beat Romeo (King of Puppets 2nd stage).

I simply didn't have the patience anymore.

Not proud but I just wanted to move on.

Don’t be afraid to take damage guarding multiple attacks, even if it’s not perfect guard. I did a lot better against the last few bosses when I absorbed guard damage and got health back with my own attacks. Laxaxia in particular likes to fukk with your timing in second stage; she’ll bluff a swing to get you to parry, then speed the fukk up and hit after your parry misses.

I just kept my guard up, ate the hits I couldn’t predict, and parried the ones I could (the lightning attacks, shield charges, etc). And all the jumping she does also gives you plenty of chances to take a health kit.

This. if you fail a parry just hold block and accept that additional damage until you can strike back. Reflecting her lightning attacks helps break her posture and maintain offense. Acid/ decay status helps here too (though I ended up not using any when I actually beat her).

If you're having trouble with perfect parries on some of her weird combos or her charge after the lightning barrage aegis or the perfection grindstone might give you the edge you need.

edit: don't sleep on your p-organ (:dame:)
Make sure you're using your quartz

Yup. I did most of my damage the first time I beat her bouncing lightning bolts back at her. If you can just maintain your health and get your guard damage to replenish during the intervals, you can take her out. Once I figured that out, I stopped worrying about parries unless they were obvious. Just blocked and focused on making sure I hit her at least once at the end of her attacks.

Did the same with the end boss in his second phase.

Ergo-wise, I prioritized Technique, Vitality, Vigor and Capacity, in that order. Then I put the salamander dagger on a Technique-based handle with reach (the one with the broken street sign attached to it), so I could use it like a spear and access fire attacks without an elemental grindstone.

There are two quartz power ups that help with this too: one reduces the amount of damage you take when you don’t perfect guard, and the other allows you to defend red attacks without using perfect guard; you can block them like normal attacks.

Onward and upward :whew:

Congrats! Only a few left, and if you made it past her you got the skills to beat it. That weapon, the twin Dragon is no joke!

If you time it right, it can perfect parry right as it’s fully charged. Gotta be real good with timing though
