If you picked up any of the tips from 2016's Level Up threads (ex. daily exercise, meal prepping, self-acceptance/confidence building, reducing tv/internet consumption, and cutting off negative people...) you're ready for 2017....if not, go back and master last years focus points...![ufdup  ](https://www.thecoli.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/ufdup.png)
For 2017....
1. Get internally clear.
Imagine if you never got rid of anything in your house...ever. You wouldn't be able to move or breathe. Many of us are like that....within.
I suggest clearing oneself through adopting various forms of intermittent fasting.......ex. one day per week no phone, one day no food, one day no porn/tinder/talking to or looking for women in any way, one day no talking period/day of silence (Sundays are good for this)
Don't overwhelm your system doing all at once or all in the same week. Let go of various things one at a time and see how your life/body responds...pick them back up see how you respond.
A saying: "Let it all go, see what stays"
2. Stop feeding your inner critic.
We all have some form of negative or self defeating thoughts, whether fear based or past-trauma based. Get a good thought and speak it out loud (often called a "mantra").
An exercise: Count to ten silently to yourself. ...then say your name out loud.
As you'll see speaking cuts the ability to maintain the mental train of thought/the counting. So when you are experiencing the voice of the "inner critic" or the down thoughts - speak your mantra OUT LOUD. Good ones: "God loves me." "I will succeed." or "I am a wonderful person." Find your mantra and use it as often as needed.
3. Maintain perspective.
You are a member of existence, you are not an accident, you are a participant in a universe more vast and beautiful than you can even comprehend. When you feel the weight of the everyday world, look at images like these:
This is one of our best images of the galaxies we can see...not stars... these are all galaxies ....over 10,000 in a single pic
You are in the middle of something absolutely fantastic and mindfukkingly profound....right now. Keep perspective on the miracle of being alive.
4. Pay attention to the informants in your space.
Who are your informants? It's a simple as who is providing the fuel for your thoughts?
Are they angry? Hopeless? Afraid? Savage? Happy? Encouraging? Peaceful?
Is it your music? your friends? your favorite internet forum?
Your news sources?
What you're fed ... is what you'll eat. Be very careful.
5. Develop a daily spiritual practice. Be vulnerable there.
Whether it's prayer, meditation, church, reading eastern philosophy....whatever. Go into that place each day. I recommend at minimum each morning and each night as a start and close to your waking life each day.
When in prayer, or meditation or while reading....ask your BIG questions, lay out your BIG fears. Say them out loud with expectation of some form of response. Use this private time to shed light on the most hurt, fearful, arrogant, dusty fukked up part of yourselves. Bring these parts of yourself to the forefront of your consciousness and open them for response, challenge and change via the spiritual realms.

There may be a part 2/random gems update to this year's Level Up thread as...this weekend's threads have raised many issues for concern....
I hope someone finds this helpful.
