So with the recent NBA deals going on and the media seemingly clueless as to how so many kids are turning down the Knicks, Lakers, and other big "media" markets it got me wondering why this is such a shock to people?
I started thinking about those with the mentality that they can't ever imagine themselves outside of the northeast bubble, but the question is why?
Are we not aware that the advances in communication is making location less and less relevant? You don't necessarily NEED to live in a location to make a good living anymore as long as you have the skills, so why not explore all options? It's something I've had a hard time understanding, but I will just leave it with this graph updated by decade.

The earliest periods don't interest me much, the real thing to look at is the shift after World War II. From 1940 to 2010, just look at how that northeast bubble continues to shrink with people looking towards the south and west of the United States.
Generally better weather, cheaper property, and a growing demand in the other parts of the country. I think it's something you guys trapped in the New York State of Mind should start considering more as your income continues to grow
