Let's Talk About That Little Voice Inside Your Head

You know the one you "hear" as you read something. The one that you may or may not have internal dialogues with throughout the day.

How do you feel about this voice? Does it ever annoy you? Does it tell you to do right when you know you're doing wrong? How many of them are there? Do you ever find yourself arguing with this "person"?

Do you even acknowledge it exists? If you do where did it come from?

that voice is my thoughts...i conjure it up just like i do when i talk out loud.
most of the time i don't want to verbalize my thoughts so i simply think them to myself.

i did not speak the words i just typed, however i did internalize them and manifest them through my keyboard...same shyt.

anyone who has voices in their head that they cannot claim as their own thoughts has a serious problem.

nah, it sounds like the person I'm internalizing

ex. when I read text messages from my friends, I read it in their voice, not mine

when I read messages on this forum, I read em according to the punctuation and tone, but in my voice....I haven't heard enough podcast to start internalizing everyones voice yet (thank God for that )

yeah, my inner voice "sounds" like me...same dialect, vernacular, accent...it's me talking in my head without speaking out loud.

Wouldn't any voice in your head be yours by definition? Do you think there is no such thing as a conscious?

in free flow thought it's just my voice, but if i wanted to i could make the voice in my head sound like Randy Macho Man Savage...but that would take a conscious effort.

i do debate in my own mind...but it is me purposefully looking at my opinions and dissecting them.

if some disjointed voices, visions, ideas that you don't control are invading your thoughts, then there are serious problems.
