A weird show but not actually too bad.
Benoit v Liger and Eddie v Otani are legit great matches
Savage v Tenzan is cool on paper but the match was weak.
The other matches were nothing to write home about
It's a curious show because it's 6 months before the nWo blows up but they're kinda doing an invasion angle with New Japan, with Sonny Ono talking about taking over WCW. Show bombed on PPV though.
Hoegan wasn't even on the show because he got shook that the WCW fans were booing him
Then you've got the weird ass main event set up of Sting, Luger and Flair wrestling in a three way to face Savage immediately after for the title right after they all were in the tournament (apart from Flair), and it ends with Flair winning the title after Savage apparently bladed Flair himself without telling Flair he was gonna do it
Flair was fukking leaking at the end
Interesting show to look back on. NJPW were super hot and WCW were on the come up with Nitro but it was before everything clicked in place with Hall and Nash coming over.
