Look I think he was a great talent in wrestling and enough fans cared about him and he got screwed by upper management for sure...but he was unfortunately incredibly delusional and didn't realize the downside of getting washed in actual fights...he was great at one thing that we know of and now doesn't really have another avenue...

he could have earned big time money for another 4-6 years had he never left...ok sure he says he's made enough to retire early but who really knows if he realizes how much he needs to spend yearly to make it last the rest of his life...

how much did he lose getting ripped off by these trainers who should have told him not to even pursue this venture because he wasn't going to be able to develop the basics...but nah they saw dollars and made him even more delusional gassing him up not letting him get his ass kicked in practice like they should have

I feel really bad for the guy but he's also been incredibly whiny, cocky, entitled, and phony to some of his friends apparently...hopefully this adventure will humble him and he can become a born again like Michaels

I say in 5 or 10 years he only comes back for hall of fame ceremony and as a special character in wwe game like Warrior...he can't make a credible run in the E anymore not after getting washed like that

now on to the OP argument....Punk was put in a shytty position on the card because they are inept and don't care what the fans want...had nothing to do with Punk's drawing power...

you can clown him for getting washed and getting humbled but his plight in WWE was not his fault...it was the idiots in charge who did the same to DB and are still pushing Roman Reigns down everyone's throats

Over the Limit 2012 was in Raleigh, NC. Ridiculous how there were not one, but two matches that came on after Punk/Bryan: Main event with Cena/Laurinitis and a Ryback Squash match where he beat Camacho (aka Tanga Loa) in less than a minute.

Looking at the first half 2012, there was some horrendous card placement for Punk and I wouldn't blame him for being upset given he was the champ.

• Elimination Chamber: Punk's Chamber Match opens the show, Cena beating Kane in an ambulance match closed it
• Extreme Rules: Layla/Nikki Bella and Cena/Lesnar go on after Punk/Jericho
• No Way Out: Ryback squashing two jobbers and Cena/Big Show cage match went on after Punk/Bryan/Kane Triple Threat
• MITB: Ryback squash match and 6 diva tag match go on right after Punk/Bryan with Raw MITB (LOLCENAWINS) going on last

If it wasn't for the heel turn at the end of July, who knows what kind of card placement fukkery would have continued.
