Let's revisit Mayweather v Chop Chop Corley

Watched this again last night and I must say this was his most entertaining fight. He took some monster shots in the 4th round. Had him doing the stanky leg a couple of times. That knockdown in the 10th though. I wonder why he doesn't throw combinations like this anymore.



side bar....every Mayweather HBO fight you watch on youtube, Merchant is hating like a mf'er the whole time. Even the fights really early in his career. this dude really hates Floyd. I see why he took his talents to Showtime.

This is one of the most entertaining Floyd fights to watch.
That KD in the middle of the ring towards the end of the fight where floyd hit that combo was
Also floyd yelling "this is fighting stop bytching" or whatever at Chop Chop was fantastic. Chop hit Floyd w a few good shots too.

Floyd fought the way he did against Chop Chop because, as Stewart pointed out, he wanted to A)show people he is an entertainer, basically getting his viewership up and putting on a show for future pay-per-view fights (we have to remember that Floyd had yet to be on Pay-per-view at this point, and B) show that he is the pound for pound best, and not Bernard Hopkins (this was right after Roy Jones had lost his P4P kingship).

There is a reason he's moved on from Garica after all these ears his hands have been his weakness, and he is looking to try other things, like both Roger and Sr have stated his hands have been messed up for the worse since Mosley despite little injury claims and I believe it, he hasn't sat down or put conviction on anything aside from Ortiz, which came at a angry, zero fukks moment

those combos in the NDOU fight were just
and yeah, when floyd was on the come up he wanted to fight everybody that would help his star rise and was whooping asses like there was no tomorrow
i think he felt invisble back then plus he was fighting guys his size

now hes older,not as fast, and hes routinely fighting guys thats bigger than him. plus the hand problems

i still think hes saying that last pbf like fight for pacquaio

As far as Zab, Floyd would have far more Ko's if nikkas wasnt getting dirty just cause; Canelo, Chino 2x, Zab, Mosley, Guerrero would hav e been KO victims had there not been holding and fouling fest.........The fouling is making him lose his love for the sport, unlike how it used to anger him back in the day and even with Ortiz but I digress............................

He fouls too. That shyt he does when he pushes the opponents head down. yeah... Do you know how much that shyt hurts? All vet fighters get dirty. Tyson had the elbow. Holyfield used to headbutt. Lenox Lewis used to hit in the back. Ali used to squeezed people's head when they tried to clutch.

But yeah. Corley ducked that right perfectly and rocked him good. He came back good tho and went to work.

That dont mean he lost the passion for that clinch fighting dirty shyt....................He even gave Chino a break and let him recoup with the overblown he bit me thing, old Floyd would have koed him...Matter of Fact had he not complained he would have koed Chino in 10 but him complaining caused Bayless to get over aggressive 2nd half of the fight

He gets fouled these days he goes into a shell and try to collect his check the easiest way possible on top of that there has been dirty judges in his past 3 fights, and that was most blatant in the Chino rematch where he only won by a few points; Floyd is seeing it as he cant win, in spite of his domination, nikkas have to cheat and even when that works he have to worry about the judges.......


People say he fears Manny but the truth is he fears TR paid judges since Caenlo they had it out for him
