In the first uncharted game you play as a physically gifted man of european descent who along with his white companions travel through a latin american jungle searching for treasure, while killing numerous brown and black people who stand in your way. You pick up cultural artifacts along the way and keep them for yourself. Your mentor is a man who wants to use these artifacts to make himself rich or pay off his debts.
HOWEVER at the end of the game, rather than keeping the main treasure of the island, the protagonist leaves it at the bottom of the ocean. The people of the country can no longer access the artifact, but likewise other treasure hunters might not be able to access it either.
