.....but if we're forced to like everything that appeals to a vocal minority, we'd be stuck with Citizen Kane for 434 days. A great movie that flopped at the box office.

Citizen Kane didn't flop, it did OK, not great but far from a failure. It would have done a lot better had it not been for William Hearst. He banned his papers from even mentioning it, and that motherfukker owned a shytload of papers, and also got many theaters to refuse to show it.

Anyhow, on to the Rock... yes his 2002 (horrible) era promos and lack of cardio do irk me... a lot. But at the end of the day, I'm not against his current run in the WWE. Punk looked really strong after his showing against the Rock at the EC, and we all know Rock is going to drop the title to one of those two (more than likely Cena) at Wrestlemania. He's doing this to raise his own public profile, raise Cena's and Punks, and the WWE as a whole.

And yes... I do mean he is putting over not only Cena, but Punk over huge by his constant bouts against them. Rock was known back in the day for putting a lot of people over, so I can respect that. You guys don't have to like it... but at the end of the day that's how it's gonna be.

I just wish that nikka would stop coming on at like 10:57 though....

Almost my feelings exactly. Glad to see him back, but I'm about 10 or so years older and I don't find his jokes funny at all. I liked serious Rock the other night cause he put Cena's belt over and gave a damn good intro for the new belt.

As for putting Punk/Cena over, I agree. It's much bigger than anything Cena or Punk could do with their peers, but not better if that makes sense. Cena/Punk got better chemistry than with Rock, but there's no doubt that Rock is elevating the industry while he's there.

BUT back on topic, Rock is more like Cena than people want to admit. Probably won't be carrying anybody to a classic, but he can go when he's in there with somebody as good or better than him. The only reason nikkas can't shyt on him entirely is because he was apart of one of the greatest in ring eras ever. Would be hard for him not to have a laundry list of classics when he was facing Austin, Angle, Y2J, Taker, HHH and Foley ALL in their prime. He DEFINITELY held his own in those too. As for right now, he's older and I won't shyt on him for that, cause I'll be :flabbynsick: by then :heh: but it's obvious that his cardio is lacking. Hopefully he focuses on that for Mania so he can go 30-35 minutes without being :deadcena: a few minutes in.

:russ: @ him selling for the ramp though... These TSC nikkas will say anything to prop their favorites :smugfavre:

How he put Cena's belt over when he said it looks like a toy and only a blind man would think it looked good. Because he said put it in the HOF at the end doesn't erase shytting on it before hand

A calm, fully rationale person would call this argument a straw man. But I can't help but refer to it as the #fukkStickMcDingle argument. When they hell did anyone say you should be FORCED to like something? And how would that even work? We're talking about the ability to have a discussion in which, fallacious, over-used rebuttals like "BUT IT MAKES MORE MONEY!" do not automatically shut things down. Nobody said that every match should be Daniel Bryan vs CM Punk. Nobody said that matches like Hogan vs Rock don't have their place and aren't entertaining. Nobody is talking about force. We're talking about what a reasonable debate about wrestling looks like.
