the momentum has been obvious, and it only seems to be picking up its pace, with the release of Self Made 2 seeing an impressive 80K opening and the upcoming debut of the buzzing meek mill (of whom I am no fan, I will admit, but someone whose buzz can't be denied) on the near horizon. ross is playing his cards correctly, while jeezy is still asking himself why he signed freddie gibbs. the dude is a shrewd businessman who has calmly but effectively solidified a strong group of talent that has the streets AND commercial scene on lock. while young money and good music bicker over bullshyt, ross is marshaling his troops and building a unit that is putting out dope music. self made 2 is dope. so sophisticated is better than any single out right now. meek mill will probably do 200+ when his joint drops. and gfid is the most anticipated album of the year.
