6:00 mark...

Would you agree? How did that move get so over? Was it just a case of The Rock telling us it was the most electrifying move in sports entertainment so often that we just started to play along? :patrice:

Are there any other stars now that can sell a move that (let's be honest) ridiculous as a finisher? :patrice:

No disrespect to the People's Elbow, of course. :whoa:

I threw many-a-beauty-supply wristband in middle school into a fake crowd before dropping the bow on my boys.

...had to be the swagged out variations. :wowwow: :banderas:

It got over, that's the point. You can do all the holds and maneuvers you want but once you find something that sticks with the fans, you use it, simple as that. I wouldn't like to do the job to a standing elbow, but in context, you just gotta take it for what it is and say "Well, that character uses "insert manuever" better than anyone else does, that's why he can pin people with it." I mean plenty of people super kick, but it's not SCM. Plenty of people leg drop, but it ain't Hoegan's. Plenty of people DDT, but it ain't Jake/AA's. See where I'm going, few moves are truly unique but it's the spin certain characters put on it that makes it special.

Beats that weak ass shoulder-breaker he used to have :ehh:

He hadn't even started calling it The Most Electrifying move yet, that didn't start until the Corporation. Great Promo by Mankind .Wrestling fans tend to appreciate when they know you are trying to be entertaining as a heel, and that's what Nation of Domination Rock was. It was something different, it was funny, and it was ridiculous. The crowd was happy to be "in on it" made them(us) feel like apart of the show. Rock always got that. It had more to do with who was performing the move tho.

EDIT: also, it was never intended to be his finisher. He said he started doing it just to make the boys in the back laugh, and because it was an a$$hole heel move. The Crowd turned it into a finisher because of their reaction to it

People's elbow was a crowd pleaser, miss it alot

The worm by Scotty 2 Hotty was pure trash, never ever liked it, a stupid chop

Crazy how I loved the People's Elbow and hated the worm, but let's be honest, someone driving their elbow into your gut/chest hard as heck with fast downward momentum actually WOULD HURT BAD. Maybe not "1, 2, 3!" hurt, but hurt a lot.

Peoples Elbow was great, but as I got older, The Rock Bottom was what I took more seriously as a finisher.

Ok, at least it makes sense. Kofi Kingston's boom drop, the dude runs the ropes just before he does it :what: What is the fukking use if your going to stop, touch his stomach, taunt and then do the move. :damn:WHY THE fukk ARE YOU RUNNING THE ROPES!?! :mjlol:
Kofi just sucks overall, dude wont even get over as a heel, i hate to say it but ive given up

too many young cats in NXT ready to take his spot
