I've been listening to Maxo since QuiccStrikes dropped and still don't understand why hardly anyone fukks with him. Even a white boy gave me shyt for liking him.

He has a gimmicky flow but some of the shyt he says is nice.

:duck: when has that ever happened with SirBiatch?

This thread is inspired by Flexo Rodriguez's dumb ass surprise at most people preferring Drake to Currensy. Which is so :deadmanny: I almost don't know where to begin.

Here's the real: If no one listens to your favorite rapper, your favorite rapper is mediocre at best, and most likely complete trash.

All the greatest rappers of all time are popular within hip hop. I'm not talking about Shania Twain fans and shyt. I don't give a fukk who they like in hip hop. My point is: within hip hop fans, the kind of people who would listen to any great hip hop record and derive tons of enjoyment from hip hop alone, there are certain rappers that people all know and most, if not all, respect. Simply because those artists have made undeniable songs that most enjoy. If you're a hip hop fan, it's impossible to not love at least one KRS-One song, even if you're not a KRS-One fan.

You can not be amazing at rap and no one knows who you are nor knows your songs. e.g. K-Rino. This is why The Ruler looks like a blowjob betty every time he talks about K-Rino, and we laugh, giving him multiplat threads filled with jokes. K-Rino is laughably garbage and has no effect on rap outside his own zipcode.

Underground rappers are underground for a reason. 99% of the time, they're just not good enough. They can't transcend their niche, and usually their niche isn't all that interesting. The best underground rappers like a Nas or Wu-tang or DOOM or even a Lil B (big fanbase) always have some sort of commercial success and relatively large fanbase. It's not a lot, but the point is: people spread the word. When you're amazing, people can't stop talking about you. Or biting you.

If you're confused as to why your favorite rapper is not as known as say Kendrick or J Cole or Drake or Meek Mill or Rocky, ask yourself this basic question: Do hip hop fans even know my favorite rapper? and do they give a fukk about him/her? If the answers are no, you know what it is.

Peep the violin in the sig.....
