I was exposed to the darkside of the jnternet by the time i was 11-12. When i first found nycchoclatemodels.com and 404girls years later i lost my fukking mind. Got caught giving these websites in middle school in notes to my nikkas, teacher intercepts itand reads the url like :ehh:, instead of embarassing me like he wanted too , he kept quiet and continue teaching. He knew what time it was

I may sound like a prude but instagram. Twitter. YouTube fake book. Need to be 18 and up. They need age restrictions
Agreed 100%

Don't really care how it sounds. Some things should be rated 16 or 18 and above. As annoying as those age restriction things are, I'd rather they be in place.

Yeah, kids who want to bypass them are going to find some way to do that, but would rather them do the extra work than just give up and leave the door wide open. Right now you got kids who ain't even interested in fukk Shyte being linked with it through YouTube reccomendations ( they watch 1 video then some fukkboi video pops up as reccomended based on search and related content).

It's real easy to end up on a tube porn site, even if you ain't looking for 1. There are pop ups and recommendation redirects everywhere on the net. If I wanted to see anything that could be harmful to my development as a child, I can simply put it in a google search

True, but parents can still do what they can to protect them from as much as they can now.

And I don't subscribe to this generation being worse.

Kids access to shyt is easier now but it's not like kids in the 80's and 90's were living in some utopia.

Agreed.

Theres cats in this thread spent many nights with their tvs on low volume nervously keeping an eye out for their parents while looking at this

Parents aren't allowed to get "old" in this 24/7 consumption world the way our parents got old is the main thing.

You don't need to be the old parent posting snap chat filtered pics all over the place

(I mean if it's anybody's thing do you. No judgement here)

but it's just smart to do your due diligence and at least know how some of the stuff works to protect your kids.

There do need to be some age restrictions on joining social media because of the predators out there, that part of it all is quite scary.
