When you look at slavery, it is definitely obvious the ALL of the western powers built their empires off of the backs of slaves. Unfortnutately for black people, we were the chosen stock of individual that thrived in the slavery construct. When you look at the emergence of the European countries like Britain, Netherland, and France in the 1600's-1800's, to the American Empire in the late 1700-1900's. Its truly astonishing the amount of wealth that was created by whites using slaves during these time periods.

Hell it was how London became the epicenter of the economic world was due to Britains immense collection of wealth that was generated by the slave trade in England at the time. Its truly sickening when you think about it. Even looking at Wall street, the current epicenter of the economic world, actually started its life as a SLAVE AUCTION block. Just think about, the concept of trading STOCK and BONDS on wall street had an entire different meaning in late 1600's that it would in the 20th century...:whew:

Furthermore, blacks at one time were referred to as BLACK GOLD by slavers, just because they were considered so valuable to them at the time. Its hilarious that when whites had complete domination over us, we were considered black gold, now blacks are free and we're the scourge of the earth (according to them mind you). Isn't that funny how that works?

But all that being said, my question is? Despite all that slaving going on from literally the 1600's to the 1900's, Why the fukk didn't blacks in Africa organize and put the organized slave trade to a hault then and there? :why:

If Africa had stopped the slave trade in a timely fashion, It could have prevented ALOT of harm it received during the colonial era of the late 1800's to the mid 1900's.

What say you? :obama:

it's a huge misnomer to group "africans" together and ask why they didn't combat slavery. keep in mind africa is made up of many separate countries/tribes/factions/etc. some of which had been fighting on and off wars against each other for a long time. it wasn't uncommon for captured soldiers/civilians of a tribe to be sold or traded into indentured servitude and in some cases even chattel slavery between african nations. albeit the conditions were generally much better than chattel slavery in the americas.

let's also not belittle the fact that many africans were basically round up and stolen via frequent raids by european slavers. i think the number of slaves taken this way for the atlantic slave trade were actually much higher than what the historical writings say.

so to answer your question, an established history of servitude in africa along with demonic european interference/establishment of african power structures to provide them slaves fostered virtually no incentive for africans on whole to rebel the slave trade as long as demand was there.

The Industrial revolution was slavery and the coopting of resources/technology from the so called 3rd world.

This is why the demons fought so hard to abolish slavery because they didnt want nations that were at the bottom to come up the same way they did. Another reason why they reinvested in Germany after destroying it, so they didnt come up off slavery. That and to stop the influence of the communists.

Did you wanna expand on that further?
Well, the exploitation of coal, natural to England, played a large role. Similarly, the fabrication of steel. Both of which relied little on slaves or "resources/technology from the so called 3rd world."

I'll leave it at that though, because as I'm well aware, "evil cacs" is the explanation to everything.

If you truly think the British empire gained its wealth from pushing steam engines with coal you are delusional. There is a whole set of policies that governed what they were pushing back and forth on rail lines and ships. Based on wealth extraction from colonies.

I said "among other things", suggesting both factors contributed. Also, my response was about the Industrial Revolution, not the wealth of the British Empire. The wealth of the British Empire was established early in the 1700's, long before the Industrial Revolution. So, you're correct in your statement, but it's completely irrelevant to the earlier point I was making.

Pay attention :manny:

Africans fought colonialism though throughout its existence to varying degrees. The 1800s were full of war that continued into 1900s. From what I understand, the Africans didn't succeed in toppling the European invaders because they didn't have the weaponry and allies like with what bzb posted, they didn't get down like that on a large scale but hell most other groups didn't and still don't so it's not just a African thing. While the Europeans with the tech advantage had both and even had meetings to decide who gets to exploit what like some devious a$$holes but more so thugs and only fought over who gets to steal what until the Berlin Conference squashed those conflicts. And it wasn't just Africans that were enslaved breh. Native Americans were enslaved before us and treated just as harshly and you know they fought back, nobody is trying to hide that.

It just feels like the people held captive by colonialism couldn't stop it because the system was too strong. The use of firearms gave way too much of an advantage in addition to the invaders working together many times. But it didn't stop people from ever trying though and dying.

Some of the wars Africans fought:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Ashanti_wars
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Zulu_War
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boer_Wars

If I'm wrong correct me and if you know of more wars that occurred or conflicts in Africa in that time period let me know. I'm trying to learn more about all of it while doing some other stuff.

Good story John Henrik Clarke tells at 26:30-28.:50 about the Herero people.
