"Three years after the release of Leprechaun Returns, director Steven Kostanski stated he's open to creating more Leprechaun sequels if there is interest.

Kostanski spoke about returning to the Leprechaun franchise with Comicbook.com. "If it happens, I'd love to do it. I had a lot of fun making that movie, and it was a great experience. It gave me more of an appreciation for the Leprechaun movies," the director said.

"I feel we made something that fits into that mythology nicely, and I think there's a lot of room to continue it," he added. "I haven't heard anything [referencing future film projects] but if I was asked to do a follow-up, I'd be into it."

He also mentioned how his work on Leprechaun Returns led to him his current television series. "Well, I mean, the producer who hired me for Leprechaun was the one that hired me for the Day of the Dead [TV series], so I've continued that relationship," Kostanski said.

Leprechaun Returns was billed as a direct sequel to 1993's horror-comedy Leprechaun. While the original film was poorly received by critics and audiences, its cult status spawned six follow-up sequels between 1994 and 2003. The franchise was rebooted in 2014 with Leprechaun: Origins.

Directed by Steven Kostanski, Leprechaun Returns stars Linden Porco, Taylor Spreitler, Mark Holton, Pepi Sonuga, Sai Bennett and Emily Reid. The film is currently available on DVD and Blu-ray and streaming on Google Play and Prime Video."

Don't ask me why because I couldn't tell you but I like the Leprechaun movies.
They're all corny trash but I swear they entertain me for some strange reason.
