Ok, so i was walkin the dog, an i was thinkin about stress/negativity, and its source, an how to fix it
Stress and anxiety comes from factors that range from social to financial. The first thing i found about stress and anxiety is that its never beneficial, no matter how important the topic is. A certain level of stress and anxiety is natural, however over stressing is due to obsession, which is never benefical. The first step in stress reduction is to understand the stressor. Understand what it is, why its important, and how to fix it. If its un-important (social stress is usually unimportant), then youve already solved the issue, dont worry about it.
A note about social stress: People often worry about how others view them based on how they act. One thing ive found, if you arent cool (stressing mentally), your not gonna act cool. Learning to not stress over social situations (because in the end they really arent too important, if they are important like meeting your girlfriends parents, just remember what i said above). And also, theres no point in stressing over how people view you as a person, at the end of the day you cant change who you truly are, and naturally your not gonna fit with people who arent someone similar to you, so theres no point in worrying if people who just dont like you, like you.
When it comes to negativity, the main idea is perspective. Negativity comes from interpreting things negatively, changing how you view things can help eliminate negativity. For instance, if your watching a show, and theres things in the show that you think are dumb or wrong, your gonna experience negative energy. If you view it from the perspective that nothing is perfect, and you can simply see something bad and just move on without letting it bother you, then you will enjoy yourself more. I personally dont sweat over things too much, because i understand that theyre not that serious, or i view it from a global perspective (you will find that from a global perspective, many things that seem bad really arent). When it comes to negative things encumbering you (if your going through a lot of bad things in life), you just have to have a positive perspective, theres not much you can do to fix things, its life it happens, and you just have to accept things and really in those situations, you shouldnt necessarily fight the negativity, you just cant let it bitter you as a person. The world is a system, the more negative energy you recieve, the more you put out, and that leads to more negative energy coming to you later.
My last point, is to GO WITH THE FLOW. One of my favorite books, grapes of wrath, emphasizes this idea. Time is really just a long river that just flows and flows, it bends and twists and sometimes you encounter rocks in the way and sharks and electric eels, but you just have to evade them/flow with them, and keep moving on. Going counter-flow is useless, the river keeps flowing, going with it makes things easier than fighting with it
