Legit NBA dunkers ducking Mac?

Mac has done some spectacular dunks over the past three dunk contests, but the competition he faced were not good dunkers, outside of Castle making couple impressive dunks.

Sooo these so called top in game dunkers like Edwards, Zion, Ja, etc. are scared of losing to a guy who can't get a full NBA contract? Is that what it is? If you want to be considered one of the greatest NBA dunkers ever, you gotta get to the dunk contest. Mac got Dr. J's approval and he probably hasn't seen him play an actual basketball game

They even started the event by remembering how dope was the year 2000 slam dunk contest, with star names, pretty much saying we want this type of competition back again.

Low key, I thought Trey Murphy had some good dunks last year as well. Why do the players who come in second decide not to participate again? Jordan lost his first time in the dunk contest, but he came back. They also need to increase the field to 6 again.

He made a very competitive final round. If he made the first dunk of final round from the 1st/2nd try, that would have been a 50.

That is what I was thinking the whole time, too. This is his version of a successful NBA career, so he is gonna risk it all, and although he does some cool dunks, it’s to the point now where if somebody wants to beat him, they are going to have to do some shyt that will probably injure them if they fukk it up, and that is a guarantee that no players that actually play minutes in any role in the NBA or G league are gonna risk it. They kind of hamstrung the dunk contest with that shyt.

Dude probably practices more on dunks than gaining skills that would make him a marketable player, i.e. shooting


People tend to forget that before Dwight Howard started with all the unrealistic shyt, and they started with "dwarfs" like Nate, most dunks where "just" dope dunks.

The type of dunks that could get a top score was McClungs dunk, without jumping over the car and without taking ball from a 7 footers hands at the same time.


At the end of the day, they are pro-ballers. Some of McClung's dunks is more like circus things. There might be gymnastics/circus people that can drop better dunks than all of them.
