Bodied Biggie Smalls on "Think Big"

career derailed by "the gay rapper" rumor that clown reporter made up
i don't think that was really it (definitely didn't help)

He said after his album was shelved, Pac and BIG died, he took a hiatus that lasted too long. He also ghost wrote and did other projects low key that made him money

he went from a 90s wordsmith to other styles

these are my favorites from him

Looks like there are other interview

I hear you, and the biggest thing was him not having hit records to sustain his career. Plenty of talented rappers in that era who never popped.
But the backlash to rumors was actually a thing. I remember the bogus gay rapper article, the writer and "rappers with light eyes" feeling the brunt of the backlash. If I recall, his backers tried to do damage control by having him appear on on of the daytime talk shows as a womanizer/player guest.
Pre internet, the gossip mill existed and lowlife radio hosts outing you/speculating on your sexuality etc...could slow or stop your career momentum.

I never saw it but I heard he was on Ricki Lake claiming to have a lot of baby momma's. I don't know his personal life and as much as i like his songs he was a bit flamboyant with highlights in his hair

and a pic I saw of him and tupac where he had a pacifier, though he always denied being gay

this is still one of his best cuts, though never officially released
