He said after his album was shelved, Pac and BIG died, he took a hiatus that lasted too long. He also ghost wrote and did other projects low key that made him money
I never saw it but I heard he was on Ricki Lake claiming to have a lot of baby momma's. I don't know his personal life and as much as i like his songs he was a bit flamboyant with highlights in his hairI hear you, and the biggest thing was him not having hit records to sustain his career. But the backlash to rumors was actually a thing. I remember the bogus gay rapper article, the writer and "rappers with light eyes" feeling the brunt of the backlash. If I recall, his backers tried to do damage control by having him appear on on of the daytime talk shows as a womanizer/player guest.
Pre internet, the gossip mill existed and lowlife radio hosts outing you/speculating on your sexuality etc...could slow or stop your career momentum.
