Wild Style needs a re-release. There are so many dope moments in the film, including the legendary Double Trouble scene. Also, it would be pretty cool if the (iconic) Wild Style logo found new life with Gen Z & Gen Alpha.

:banderas: Whole movie, my uncle, and Jazzy Jeff were an inspiration to me. DJing is such a lost artform nowadays :mjcry:

BIG FACTS! So many people call themselves DJs, but know nothing about the art. You're not a DJ if you just play your iTunes playlist over some speakers.
:scust:

Square biz. Reminds me of the 2000s when heads would have the title "DJ" and just had leaks to the mixtapes like that's cool and all but scratches WTF :why:

Its sad I actually miss a DJ yelling at me and being obnoxious versus whatever these heads be on nowadays :francis:

You're preaching this Sunday, Koala Breh.
The whole culture of Hip-Hop has been b*stardized, pasturized, and watered-down.
Tagging? Gone.
Breakdancing? The Koreans got that on lock.
DJing? On life support.
Emceeing? Killed by some kids in skinny jeans, and replaced with auto-tuned singing.
:mjcry:

Above the fray.
Big up Lee Quiñones.

I was hoping that would happen last year when the film turned 40, and they commemorated 50 years of the genre.

That would've been great!
Can you imagine selected theaters showing Wild Style, Beat Street, Breakin', Krush Groove, Rhyme & Reason, and some of the other films that played during our youth? Those of us who live in Larry Holmes Gardens could've enjoyed them again, and today's youth could've viewed Hip-Hop history on the big screen!
