Will be considered a detriment to his career UNLESS the Lakers get Anthony Davis.

The last 3 years Rich Paul clients on LeBron teams have been trash. I mean I use to make excuses for TT/JR...but damn there was no defending that KCP move.

Just horrible deals :picard:

No JR/TT deals would have given Cavs some flexibility to compete or make better trades.
Lakers could have done anything instead of giving KCP that contract to make them a better team.

At some point he needs to realize Rich is looking out for Rich.

I think the Lakers are eventually gonna be good this year. However, when Bron starts realizing he just needed a bit more help to advance further he'll have no one to blame but himself for signing off on Rich's fukkery.

How would KCP signing to the Lakers help Rich though?

I can only imagine they signed him to the Lakers to see if he would work as an elite three-and-D guy (their Trevor Ariza), and as trade bait/salary if he doesn't work.

It doesn't hurt the Lakers long-term because they had no chance to win this year anyway.

You think KCP is the sole reason they’re losing or something?
No. LeBron teams always start slow that first year.

Just saying dude has no purpose on the team and when they finally figure it out....

That 12 mill wasted on KCP is gonna hurt. And yea filling that slot with something else probably gets them off to a better start.

Just another year of Bron/Rich making things much harder than it needed to be.

Lebron isn't in LA for Basketball Reasons

KCP was 12m cuz rich told him to turn down 5 years 80m from Detroit. He has to make that money back somehow.

Rich Paul can't get AD to LA. Only the Pelicans GM and Owners can do that. Rich has 0 say.

Only matters if he exercises it. He might have a deal with Rich not to exercise it. :yeshrug:

At this point being traded is probably in KCP's best interests, because he wants a big contract next year and is pretty damn close to spending the rest of this year buried on the Lakers' bench.

KCP looked like he had 17-18 million/year skills. He should be one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA. He just can't put it together.

But there are numerous examples in NBA history of great players getting sent where they wanted to be sent. Lakers in particular have benefited from that multiple times.

Isn’t Rich job to get his clients the best deal “ie money”? Im sure he not worrying about Brons teams cap space and that team being able to sign another star :heh:

So you asking Rich Paul to not do what’s best for his client, being in LA for AD isn’t what’s best for his career going forward.

Only reason they got those contracts because LeBron is on the team :yeshrug:

It compromise's his teams flexibility (Cleveland) and chance to win (Lakers)

Bron is doing Paul a solid that in turn makes his teams weaker. :ld:

I use to try to argue for it....but was anybody really going to give JR that kind of money :francis:
