Sheesh :picard:

Its not his fault though, he was never meant to be a first or second option. But with KP out and us being young we needed him to step up. :manny:

It is his fault though. He should realize if he’s not being productive then switch it up; stop taking bad shots, your shot not falling? Then drive, still not falling? Do other things to be a leader, create for teammates, get your assists up, play better defense. There’s so much more he can do if his shot ain’t falling. There’s more than one way to be a leader and first option.

That’s not to say this is all on Tim. It’s also on the coaching too, Fiz needs to reign dude in. If he isn’t playing well then stop letting him do whatever he wants, no one on this squad should have a green light. Fiz and his none system is to blame just as well. There’s been more than enough time to actually have the team actually be a team but still nothing. I’m close to done with Fiz, I’ll give him next year to see what he can do when the team should actually be constructed better and KP is back.

To be fair being a first or even second option means the opposition defensively game plans to stop you. Like how we game planned for Harden and he shot like shyt (though the refs bailed him out......smh). Timmy just isn't able to handle that defensive pressure, especially when they are cutting back on Kanter's minutes and Knox has hit the rookie wall. All the opposition has to do is stop timmy and they should win. If we add KP and another option (hoping for Kyrie) his whole game should change as the third/fourth option or as a sixth man who plays against lesser players.

Timmy is JR without the reckless lifestyle issues, and once reigned in JR was a contributor on a championship team. Hell Woodson just forced JR to play 6th man and he was the 6th man of the year. Timmy has that talent, trading him for cap space is legit risky unless they know for a fact they can get marquee players in FA.

What do you guys think our record would be if we had hired Bud over Fiz?

Also, what player development would have benefitted or suffered as a result?

I feel the record would be a little better. Development would probably be better, I don’t feel like I’m seeing much from the staff in that department. Mitch, Trier, Knox are just doing what they’re already good at imo.

He would have sent players to the G League to get reps. Which is a lot more beneficial I think than benching them when they do not play well

I could tell by your Ja Rule stanning that you have a penchant for cynics and the depressed but you're here siding with @Mr. Jack Napier over the team?

You know what, it might have been true in the past that you can't rebuild in NYC. That'd be because we have such a toxic clickbaity journalistic culture in most of our sportsmedia. But with social media, the fans can shut crap like this down and let the FO know we're down to ride for a team that plays it's youth and is positioning us to have the best odds at Zion in the draft lottery.

I saw an article that Frank Isola wrote for the Athletic yesterday, and once I saw it was Isola, I didn't even bother reading the article... It was something about how Fiz has lost the team and basically saying he's sucked. I went straight to the comments section and they were eating him alive :russ:, even using his past words against him, or even pointing out how he was cherry picking certain things to fit his narrative.
