The Inkwell (black coming of age classic)

and he also dropped why do fools fall in love in the 90s and in my eyes that shyt was great too....plus all these movies were pretty much solely black films and expand beyond the genre's of drama and cheating women and men bullshyt that we have today. For this I :salute: larenz

Larenze was my favorite black actor of the 90's behind Will Smith. Dude was underrated as hell.

Dead Presidents, The Inkwell, and Why Do Fools Fall In Love are amongst my favorite movies. Before Jamie was Ray or Chadwicke was James Brown, Larenze was the OG teen idol Frankie Lymon :salute:

Plus he was in South Central, an underrated TV show.

Love Jones is a bonafide CLASSIC film.

Larenze's 90's run was black excellence :wow:

Dead Presidents was about quite a bit more than a just a "Gangster Heist" flick. Hell, that aspect of the movie is really only about the last act of the movie.
oh i know but when u bring up dead presidents most ppl generally remember it from the robbery scene or the painted faces

did will have movies or performances of tates caliber though? i never really thought about it but dude has a great body of work behind him yet seemingly fell off the face of the earth. maybe he got pigeonholed in that perception of just being a "black actor."

Will had Bad Boys, Independence Day, and Men In Black bruh. Not to even mention Fresh Prince. Will's 90's run is legendary for ANY actor, he transcended race while not totally c00ning or attempting to distance himself from the Hip Hop community. For that he has my ultimate respect.

Larenze had stronger dramatic though, and he from all accounts is a stand up guy. He never really fell off he just transitioned into more TV work. He was on Rescue Me and he was recently on a Cancelled USA show

He also was a recurring character on House of Lies as Marty Kaan's brother. Coincidentally enough, he was also Don Cheadle's younger brother in 'Crash'.

His entire transition as a character I this movie is amazing. He went from a kid who just loved being a kid to going to war and coming home another person.

Chicago :blessed:

And what nobody figured while it got dissed at the box offfice is that Dead Prez is the Hughes Bros salute to The Deer Hunter :blessed:
