Brewster: It's Stupid, Nobody Asked Me For Klitschko Code!
Posted by: Ryan Burton on 1/6/2015

By Ryan Burton

It was nearly 10 years ago when WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (63-3) last tasted defeat. Klitschko was stopped in five rounds by Lamon Brewster in their battle for the vacant WBO title. Three years later Klitschko would avenge that defeat by stopping Brewster in six.

Since the Brewster defeat Klitschko has reeled off 21 consecutive victories and Brewster said that he can't believe that no one has asked him for advice on how to defeat the fighter known as Dr. Steelhammer.

"Nobody has been smart enough to ask me how to do it. I'm serious. That is the stupidest thing in the world. If there is a formula for success, and I have that formula, wouldn't common sense say to go to that person and ask for the formula so you can be successful? Sometimes sense isn't common. I don't get it man. Nobody has asked," Brewster told BoxingScene.com.

The Los Angeles resident said that he is willing to share his knowledge with future Klitschko opponents - for a price.

"It is a very technical thing. You can't just beat Wladimir. It isn't something that can be learned overnight. I can't say it because then I would be giving away the secrets. Out of respect to Wladimir I won't do it - unless somebody puts a check in my hand," Brewster said with a chuckle

Lamon Brewster must be sitting home feeling extra lonely and just wants some attention.

I respect Lamon...dude had the best fights during his title reign when byrd and ruiz were stinking up the joint...but he is wildin lol. Dude was lucky wlad emptied his tank and he had good enough punch resistance to last
low key Brewster was in some of the best HW fights since the 90's
first Wlad flight, Meehan, Krasniqui, Liakhovich :ohlawd:

even him dropping Golota 3 times in 50 seconds was entertaining :lolbron:

i hope he got paid for all the beating he took :mjcry:

I follow him on twitter..dude seems to be doing OK for himself...he's fat as hell these days but at least that damaged eye of his he can see out of it again.

Brewster - liakhovich I've said it before and I'll say it again ...thee last classic heavyweight title fight to date..which is sad since it took place almost 9 years ago :to:...both of them nikkas beat the shyt out of and ruined each other and it was :whoo:

Two different versions of Brewster breh :comeon:

He was a shot mess in the 2nd fight...on top of coming off a year & half layoff, a loss and eye & knee surgery...he was a shell of himself

If anybody can look at both fights and not see the clear physical decline in Brewster from the 1st fight to the 2nd...i don't know what to say.

Wlad fought pretty much the same fight in the 2nd fight as he did in the 1st...albeit at a much lower pace...because Brewster no longer had the ability to force Wlad to fight at a higher pace... Wlad even held less in the 2nd fight than in the 1st, mainly because Brewster was a corpse in there who he could just sit back and tee off on with jabs and Wlad didn't have to expend an exorbitant amount of energy throwing big shots trying to keep Brewster off of him in the 2nd fight because again...Brewster was a corpse in there.

Will say this tho...Brewster had natural intangibles that you can't teach or pass on to others which led to his victory over Wlad...a sturdy beard, heart and punching power...so his advice on "how to beat Wlad" is useless if a fighter doesn't have the right attributes

pretty much breh...i hated that he only took that wlad fight was because it was the most money he was ever offered even though he had no business fighting someone like that after a layoff..then it was downhill from there
