Lamborghini has released preliminary production specifications for the Sesto Elemento supercar through the official Audi magazine. The automaker claims that the car could accelerate from zero to 60mph in 2.5 secs. It is almost an exact replica of the concept car that was first presented in the 2010 Paris Motor Show. But there are two major differences. First of all, the car will be stiffer than the concept. Secondly, it will be safer. It is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 turning all four wheels via a six-speed automated manual, which is the same powertrain used by a Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera. It has an output of 562 hp and 398 lb-ft or torque and has a weight of just 2,200 lbs. Sadly, the Sesto Elemento won’t be street legal. Lamborghini decided to make it a track-only car so that it can stay as near as possible to the concept. Only 20 units will be built.

Track only basically means they aren't going to put in stuff like air conditioning, glove box, audio unit, and cup holder.

Man, that car looks mean just sitting still. I hate that it's not street legal. I would love to drive a car like that at least once in my life.

man fukk NO. For that type of money you can get a street legal pagani Zonda R, Buggatti Supersport, Ferrari Enzo, and several other fast ass car. He'll for 500K you can get a brand new LP-700 with change left over to blow on blow and hookers n shyt.

I would never pay that much for a car that's barely faster than a regular Gallardo. Yes it may be lighter and shyt, but why pay so much for a slow ass car (relatively speaking) that you can only drive on the track. ONLY. I guess this is for one of people who already own or drove everything else.

Yeah, totally agree with you. For less than $20,000, you can get a Toyota Corolla with air conditioning, radio, cup holders... and possibly save 15% on auto insurance by switching to Geico.

Barely faster? 700 pounds is a lot of weight. A very high amount to take out of a production car.

and safety equipment required for street cars

Anyone else shocked at how light it is?

That (2,200 lbs) body is made entirely from carbon fibre using forged composite technology, something Lambo claims is a first in the automotive sector.
