Ladies, when did you become confident?

Women have it hard (brehs stfu before you even begin to refute this, you have no idea).

There's a lot of pressure to be the impossible at all times: smart, naturally beautiful, sexy but not too sexual, strong, uncomplaining, THE support system, forgiving of all things, motherly, and for the last few generations add accomplished to the list. Whew! Its very easy to feel less than and unfortunately, too many women live much of their lives unsure and lacking confidence.

For those of you who have found a way to maneuver life's pressures while holding your head high and feeling like royalty please share your story.

For me it was age 25. I felt good about my decision making, I was finally financially independent, I was so so so disciplined, and I was in the best shape ever. I had come from a lot of struggle and finally said fukk it and did whatever I thought was best for me.

Im so thankful for yr 25.

Its a process. Somedays I'm confident, other days I am conflicted, questioning my beauty, my intelligence, my being.

Funny that hat his because I'm turning 25 in a couple of weeks and am feeling that this is the time when I'm finally coming into myself. Hopefully it comes to futrition.

Don't really have much confidence. I want to learn how to love myself.

Well now's the time. Pick one area at a time to work on- looks, assertiveness, work- and boss the fukk up.

Also do some soul searching and self-evaluation to see why you're lacking confidence. I've had to do this several times in life and it's helped me link past experiences to current behavioral patterns. Most times we're fukking ourselves up cause we're unconsciously not letting go of shyt clogging us up and holding us back.

I grew up the only child in the ghetto and I was very different. But I was taught by my parents that I am/was unique and not to compare myself to other ppl. I became individualistic and comfortable with it. I was also taught by my parents that whatever I do, to do it with my all and not to half ass it so I was molded into a perfectionist. I've been confident my entire life and a lot of folks don't like that because ppl always want you to be humble/ self doubting/ self pitied/openly insecure or they wanna try to make you that way. But nothing anyone can tell me will make me believe they are better than me. I stay in my lane and allow others to be in theirs.

So true. Low self-esteem people HATE when you love yourself even when you're different. Thats why I say fukk haters and Im very cautious of criticism from mediocre people. Most times they're just tryna hold you back.

I have a friend right now who was fukking with a lot of ppl. My friend last year (2016) had a photography exhibit done in dedication to her. She has been photographed for two magazines. She's currently filming a documentary for an anticipated documentary. Do you know most of those people she called friends are now all acting funny that she's finally getting shine and making moves instead of being proud of her not begging for money through paypal like before. She used to beg for money for medical expenses for her mom, or food (because she was unemployed). She was always making posts on her tumblr complaining about life and letting everyone know about her depression. That made ppl feel good. When she was begging for money because she was out of work, everyone was living for her. "SLAY GIRL!" "YOU LOOK GOOD!" Now that everything is looking great for her and they are actually SEEING that she's not how she was, people ain't fukking with her like that. They see she is confident. Still the same person personality wise. But now that she's not complaining like before, they are mad. I had to tell her to just be aware of it because I've been noticing it. She said she has too.

Damn. I hope she protects her mental. It can be so easy to go back to being the person people are comfortable with even its not healthy for you. I've learned most people couldn't give a fukk about your wellbeing. Most people want you beneathe them so they can feel good or beside them so they can feel strong. They might tolerate you being slightly better than them so they can feel motivated, but the moment you surpass them they want to you right back at the bottom. I swear I dont fukk with haters anymore. They're dangerous. I had to cut my own mother out. My life has improved so much by having a very small but positive support system backing me. Everybody else can kiss my ass.
